Simon Ellis (he/him)
Simon Ellis is based in Newcastle and works as an Accessibility Lead at Atos, where he helps organisations embed accessibility into their digital strategy, delivery practices, and culture through an ‘Accessible by Design’ approach.
With over eight years’ experience in accessibility and digital delivery, including several years at Appspace and Accenture, Simon works at the intersection of strategy and implementation. He supports teams in building accessibility into the software development lifecycle, from governance and standards through to delivery, helping ensure inclusive design is considered from the start rather than addressed retrospectively. His work includes WCAG 2.2 auditing, advising on delivery practices, and enabling teams to take shared ownership of accessibility.
Simon is a CPACC-certified professional and a member of the IAAP UK Chapter Committee. He is passionate about building communities of practice and collaborating to create a more inclusive digital world.
Simon’s talk is called Building Accessibility into the Software Development Lifecycle.
